Metaball Plug-in 0.3b

I've updated Metaball plug-in. Now it has a preview checkbox and a slider control on the dialog.

Tested with Adobe Illustrator CS3 13.0.3 / Windows XP SP3.
This is a beta software. Please use it carefully, at your own risk.

For more information, please read the included readme file.

  3. This works fine with Illustrator CS4. There are very few SDK calls that work in CS3 but fail in CS4. Changes in the SDK are available here:

  4. Hi,

i copied the script to the Plugin Directory and i can find it at effects, but its grayed out and i cant use it.
The Dash script works fine there.
Could you please give me a tip how to get the metaball plugin running?

    Cheer Michael

  5. To John:
Thank you for the information. I'm happy to know it :)
I read the document, but I'm not relieved completely because there often exists undocumented issue.

    To Michael:
Though it's a little pain, you need to put the circles into a group before applying this effect.
    (select paths and press Ctrl-G).
This plug-in is grayed out when there's no group object in the selection.

Live Effect is applied individually for each object.
Since this plug-in's function is to connect multiple objects (=paths), the paths need to be put into one object (=group).

  8. Hello. I was wondering if this is expected to work with CS2? It is understandable if not.

  9. I'm sorry but I don't have CS2 and CS2 SDK.
I'll try porting the code to CS SDK.
It may work with CS2 if I could. Please wait some week.
